"Global Founders Kobe Meet-Up” successfully completed!

Did you know that the Kansai region - including Kobe city, Osaka city, Kyoto city and even Himeji is a hotspot in Japan for international entrepreneurs?

Last week we held the "Global Founders Kobe Meet-Up" event as part of  – a Life-Tech KOBE（神戸市役所 経済観光局 新産業創造課）initiative to support global founders and startups. This time the event was also supported by Hyogo Prefecture, Osaka Innovation Hub (OIH), Kigyo Plaza Hyogo, OmniLinks, Inc. in Kyoto and JETRO - Japan External Trade Organization .

The highlight of the event was a panel discussion including three startup founders from different parts of the world, who have successfully applied for the Startup Visa made available by Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto respectively.We had a chance to hear the positive opportunities and reality of the challenges of starting and growing a startup as a foreigner in the Kansai region, and also on a personal level, some insights, tips and tactics for enjoying your social life in the region.
