English pitch workshop - Global DeepTech Accelerator Osaka

Innovation Dojo Japan took to the stage delivering sessions as part of the Global DeepTech Accelerator Osaka!

Two members of our company, Marcel and Masako, took the stage as lecturers for the English pitch workshop as part of the Global DeepTech Accelerator Osaka (operated by Creww Co., Ltd.), which is implemented by the Osaka Prefectural Government.This program aims to produce startups from Osaka that will be active on the global stage. In particular, the program targets startups working in the area of "deep tech" with innovative technologies.

Although startup pitches are designed to convey the issues facing society and their solutions in a straightforward manner, judges and audiences have different expectations of required knowledge and preferred approaches to creating pitch decks for Japanese and international pitches respectively. In addition, English that can be understood and conveyed is what is needed globally, even if it is not fluent English.

In this session, we provided a lecture on how to create an effective pitch deck that takes these factors into account in the first half of the session, and a workshop for creating and pitching an English pitch deck in the second half.

We will continue to provide individual brush-up sessions and do our best to support startups aiming for global markets!
